What we actually do
Most families who contact us start with a phone call. We ask about the person who needs care — their personality, their medical needs, their daily routine, their finances — not just what zip code they're in. The goal is to narrow a list of dozens of communities to the three or four that are genuinely worth touring.
We coordinate tours, help families know what questions to ask, and stay available after move-in if problems come up. We've helped families negotiate move-in fees, understand when a community's stated pricing doesn't match what you'd actually pay, and navigate the transition from independent living to higher levels of care.
We're honest about how we make money — you can read the full explanation on our How We Make Money page. The short version: families pay nothing; communities with referral agreements pay us when a family moves in.
Local first
We only cover East Tennessee. That's not a limitation — it's how we stay genuinely useful. We know the communities, the staff turnover patterns, and which waitlists are actually worth joining.
Plain language
The senior care industry is full of jargon that obscures important differences. We explain things the way we'd explain them to our own families — including what a community's glossy brochure isn't telling you.
Honest about conflicts
We earn referral fees when families choose our partner communities. We tell you that upfront, explain it in detail, and try to make recommendations that would hold up even if you knew our financial relationships — because you do.
Our affiliation with Harmony at Home
Harmony at Home is an in-home care agency owned by the same family that operates Harmony Senior Connect. When a family's needs point toward home care rather than a residential community, we typically mention Harmony at Home. We benefit financially from those referrals.
